Lemoore woman sought in home invasion, stabbing
Hanford police are searching for a woman who they say broke into another woman’s home, beat her up and fired a gun at her son on Sunday.
Detective Ryan Tomey said that Amelia Marie Ibarra, 37, of Lemoore, and three other unknown suspects broke into a home in the 400 block of East 10th Street in Hanford around 6:45 p.m. Debra Gonzales, 57, was immediately punched and kicked by Ibarra and two other female suspects, while her son, 32-year-old Donald Doyle, was knocked to the ground by a male suspect.
The witnesses told police that Ibarra then pointed a handgun at Doyle and fired one shot that did not hit him.
The suspects then left Gonzales’ home and went to a relative’s home in the 300 block of South Street, Tomey said. The relative, 39-year-old Melissa Medellin, was assaulted and stabbed by the three female attackers.
Anyone with information on Ibarra or her accomplices is asked to call the Hanford Police Department at (559) 585-2540.
