Man killed in hit-and-run in Fresno ID’d by coroner. Police are looking for this vehicle

A pedestrian killed Thursday in a hit-and-run in southeast Fresno has been identified by the coroner.

Bryant Fields, 38, of Fresno was struck by a vehicle just after midnight at Chestnut and Clinton avenues and was later found lying in the street, police said.

Police said the suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on Chestnut and struck Fields as he was in the southbound lanes south of Clinton.

The vehicle continued southbound on Chestnut towards Cambridge Avenue before making a U-turn and went back northbound Chestnut past the collision scene and then eastbound on Clinton, police said.

Fields was pronounce dead at the scene.

Police said the suspect vehicle — described to be a white four-door sedan — was captured on surveillance video and is currently outstanding.
