Police investigating a homicide in Selma. Another victim said he was carjacked, cops say

Police tape blocks entrance to a convenience store in San Luis Obispo County.

The Selma Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened Friday night.

Officers responded around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Highland and Rose avenues and found a man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers then found a second victim who told them that he had been carjacked at gunpoint by an unknown suspect.

Police said the suspect fled the scene with the victims’ vehicle in an unknown direction. The vehicle was located and taken in for evidence.

It’s unknown if the second victim was injured.
