Clovis police have arrested a man they believe killed Jose Ruedas in October.

A woman was also taken into custody as an accessory after-the-fact.

The pair, identified in a police update Wednesday as 26-year-old Andres Ramirez and 22-year-old Adriana Velasco, were taken into custody Tuesday at an apartment complex in Fresno, according to a statement from the department.

Homicide detectives were working on tips from the community.

The arrests come more than a month after Ruedas was found shot to death in a neighborhood near Clovis and Barstow avenues.

The 33-year old was taken to a Fresno hospital where he died. Police at the time said they believed Ruedas knew the suspected gunman and that the violence was not random.
