Texas man accused of having sex with Porterville minor

One man was arrested Saturday in Porterville after police said he had unlawful sex and oral copulation with a minor.

Police said Nathaniel Hernandez, 20, first engaged in an online relationship with the 16-year-old girl from Porterville.

On July 10, Hernandez traveled from Lake Worth, Texas, to Porterville and rented a room at the Best Western Hotel.

While there, he had sex with the 16-year-old girl multiple times, police said.

Police arrested Hernandez after he was reported by the 16-year-old girl and her mother.

Hernandez was booked into the Tulare County Jail, where he is being held on $25,000 bail.
