Visalia woman arrested for abusing 57-year-old man in her home

A Visalia woman was arrested Saturday after an anonymous tip led police to a 57-year-old man in the woman’s home suffering from severe symptoms indicating prolonged neglect, Sgt. Brent Miller said.

Mary Jane Bryant, 59, was booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility on a charge of dependant adult abuse, Miller said.

The victim, who was not able to move on his own, was placed with Adult Protective Services and hospitalized temporarily.
