Suspect’s car in 2022 Highway 99 fatal shooting possibly identified. Fresno CHP wants help

The California Highway Patrol is asking for help to find the person responsible for killing a 27-year-old man driving on Highway 99 in the Fresno area last year.

Freddie Carrasco Jr. was shot and killed while driving southbound on Highway 99 near Olive Avenue on June 12 of 2022.

CHP spokesman Mike Salas said the agency has new information regarding the homicide, including a possible lead on the car used by the shooter.

CHP is asking the public for help in apprehending the suspect.

Anyone with that information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867, can remain anonymous, and information provided could lead to a cash reward.
