Argument leads to a shooting victim near Fresno liquor store. Suspect fled the scene
Police are searching for a shooting suspect Saturday afternoon in Fresno.
The shooting happened at 11:30 a.m. on the 2400 block of South Elm Avenue, in between a liquor store and a duplex, Fresno Police Lt. Steve Card said.
Two men got into an argument, Card said, when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the 42–year-old victim in the lower leg.
The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Card said the suspect fled from the scene and “we are working leads on locating the suspect, we believe is responsible for the shooting.”
Card added that the victim and suspect are familiar with each other.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 559-621-7000.
