Man shot near downtown Fresno. What officers at the scene discovered
Police were investigating a Thursday morning shooting near downtown Fresno after an ambulance rushed a man in his 20s to Community Regional Medical Center.
Sgt. Diana Trueba Vega said officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Valeria Street after a gunshot notification system noted the report of one round in the area. Officers found the victim about 9:30 a.m. with a leg wound. He was in critical condition.
Trueba Vega said officers did not have a suspect in custody, and asked that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
