Argument between two groups leads to juvenile stabbed at northeast Fresno park

Fresno Police Department

A verbal argument between two groups at a Fresno park Saturday night led to a stabbing, police said.

Officers responded at 8:05 p.m. to Robinson Park behind Fresno Fire Station No. 11 off Fresno Street north of Barstow Avenue on reports of a stabbing victim following an argument.

A juvenile was located with a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition, Lt. Zeb Price said.

Price said two groups of juveniles got in a verbal argument and then one of the juveniles was stabbed with an unknown object. A person of interest was detained, he said.

Nobody was at the park when the argument took place other than the juveniles, Price said.
