Several rounds fired as man killed in Fresno, police say. Two others at home avoid injury 

A man was killed near downtown Fresno on Thursday in an early morning shooting, police said.

Police said gunfire was reported around 1:30 a.m. near Clark Street and Grant Avenue, about a half mile north of downtown.

Multiple shell casings were recovered, Lt. Bill Dooley said.

Officers arrived to find a man in a house with gunshot wounds, police said. Two others in the home were not injured.

The victim died a short time later at Community Regional Medical Center, police said.

Investigators remained on scene Thursday morning and no suspect description was available, Dooley said.

The slaying marks the fourth homicide in Fresno this year.
