Road rage complaint leads to arrest of suspected Fresno car thief
Police arrested a man Friday who they say was caught driving a stolen car in southeast Fresno after a road rage incident.
Fresno police officer Dalain Medina said police received a road rage complaint around 8 p.m. near the intersection of East Kings Canyon Road and South Willow Avenue. The caller gave dispatchers the license plate of the vehicle, which was reported stolen earlier that day.
Officers found the vehicle near East Tulare Avenue and Willow, Medina said. They pulled it over and arrested the driver, Matthew Reece, who fit the description of the vehicle theft suspect. Reece also had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Reece was charged vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving on a suspended license and several other crimes related to the warrants.
