Roommate stabbed in southeast Fresno

A man was stabbed by his roommate shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment near Manila and Belmont avenues in southeast Fresno, police said.

The victim was in stable condition at Community Regional Medical Center. The suspect fled the scene, police said.

Police originally reported the case as involving a father and son, but later backed away to say the men were just roommates.
