Man in critical condition after being shot in Visalia

A man was critically injured after he was shot Friday during an argument in Visalia, police said.

Visalia police Sgt. Kevin Kroeze said police responded to a 911 call around 6:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Stover Street. Witnesses told them there had been an argument in which someone was shot, and then everyone left the area.

Police found the victim at a local hospital, where he was being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound. He is listed in critical but stable condition.

Kroeze did not release any information on any possible suspects.
