A man and a teen were arrested on felony charges Friday after police initiated searches in an effort to reduce violent crimes citywide, the Fresno Police Department said.

Detectives in Southeast Fresno arrested the two on separate offenses after serving a search warrant and doing five parole compliance checks.

Police say Jace Harris, 55, was arrested after he made his victim shave his own head at gunpoint and then stole his vehicle on June 23. He was arrested in the 4100 block of East Washington Avenue.

Harris believed his victim owed him money. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on a home invasion robbery charge, carjacking and making criminal threats.

A 16-year-old was arrested for robbing someone of a cellphone near Sunnyside High School on June 18, police say. The juvenile suspect was already on probation for robbery.
