Man arrested on drug sale charges in Fresno
A man was arrested Thursday after officers found drugs and packaging in his car during a routine traffic stop in Fresno, police said.
Fresno police Sgt. James Fowler said that George Tijerina, 28, was pulled over for driving a vehicle with false registration tabs. Officers learned that Tijerina’s license had been suspended and that he was on probation for a prior drug sale conviction.
During a probation search, police found 140 grams of methamphetamine, scales, small bags, a small amount of marijuana and $3,300 in cash, Fowler said. Tijerina was arrested on various drug sale charges and a probation violation.
