Two arrested in Fresno car theft
Two people were arrested Thursday after a license plate check during a traffic stop west of Highway 99 in Fresno indicated they were driving a stolen car, police said.
Sgt. James Fowler said that Kenneth Webb, 30, was driving and Misty Graham, 35, was the passenger when patrol officers pulled them over around 7 p.m. Police tracked them from the Valero gas station at Belmont Avenue and Parkway Drive.
Fowler said both Webb and Graham had methamphetamine and burglary tools on them when they were arrested. Graham is on probation for a prior auto theft conviction.
Webb and Graham were charged with receiving stolen property and possessing the tools and drugs, Fowler said.
