Fresno County high school social media threat of gun unsubstantiated, police say

Rumors of a social media post that mentioned Kingsburg High School and a gun were discounted Wednesday afternoon by the city’s police department.
Officers who conducted a “thorough investigation” determined the “rumors were unsubstantiated and there was no credible threat to students or staff,” said a statement issued by the department.
Sgt. Lee Forlines said the rumor had “no validity,” although police had a “couple more things to check.”
Forlines said students attended classes on Wednesday, and there was no lockdown on campus.
