Bullet fired into Fresno home strikes a teenage girl, who is taken to the hospital

A 14-year-old girl was injured Saturday night when someone fired a bullet that went through the window of her southwest Fresno home.

Fresno County sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said the girl was sitting inside her home on Malaga Avenue, just east of Orange Avenue, at about 7:30 p.m. The bullet struck her cheek.

She was taken to the hospital, where she was treated. Her condition was not available.

Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, Botti said.
