Man with knife in thigh says he tripped. Fresno police say no one else is talking
Fresno police Tuesday were trying to sort out a bizarre incident involving a man with a knife in his thigh.
It happened about 6 a.m. at Clinton and Orchard avenues in front of an apartment complex.
Arriving officers said the victim told them that he had simply tripped while carrying the blade and stabbed himself accidentally.
There was an extensive blood trail leading back to an apartment, along with a number of bystanders, none of whom would say what happened, according to Sgt. Diana Trueba Vega.
The victim was rushed to a hospital.
