19-year-old Parlier man dies following an altercation at apartment complex
A 19-year-old Parlier man died Friday evening following an altercation at an apartment complex, police said.
The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified the man as Julio Diaz of Parlier.
Officers said Diaz was involved in a physical altercation around 6:30 p.m. at the complex on the 500 block of Bigger St. in Parlier. He was dropped off by a friend at Adventist Health Hospital in Reedley where he later died, authorities said.
Parlier police requested the Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives to take over the investigation.
Detectives said the incident was gang-related but no arrests have been made.
