Two men shot in central Fresno. But were they friends or foes? Police seeking clues

Fresno Police are investigating a shooting in central Fresno that sent two men to the hospital.

Officers arrived at around 8:15 p.m. at Tyler Avenue and Clark Street, near Fresno Street.

Officers found a 20-year-old man shot in the upper body in his white vehicle.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center and is listed in stable condition, Fresno Police Lt. Anthony DeWall said.

Officers later learned another victim, a 34-year-old man, was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He is also in stable condition.

Lt. DeWall said they don’t know what the 34-year-old’s involvement was — whether he was in the vehicle alongside or exchanged shots with the 20-year-old

Officers were canvassing the area and located evidence at Thesta Street and Tyler Avenue, where police believe the shooting first occurred, DeWall said.

It is unknown if the shooting was gang related.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fresno Police at 559-621-7000.
