Man slain, shot multiple times in car. Fresno police have no suspects

Fresno police detectives are investigating of a fatal Fresno shooting early Wednesday after a man was discovered dead of multiple gunshot wounds in southwest Fresno.

Sgt. Jeff La Blue said that shortly before 5 a.m., officers arrived at what appeared to be a traffic collision in the 1200 block of Pottle Avenue. They discovered the wounded man in his 30s, who was still alive, but died a short time later of wounds to his upper body. Officers were unable to find any gunshot marks on the car. There are no suspects in custody.

This is the 29th homicide in Fresno this year. Last year at this time, there were 31.
