Fresno County deputies search for girl in possible sex abuse case

Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help in finding a girl who may be the victim of sexual abuse.

Lt. Jose Salinas said neighbors reported suspicious activity near Conejo and McCall avenues Sunday night, where a man in his 40s was seen near a black Nissan Rogue. He appeared to be inappropriately touching a girl estimated to be 12 years old.

When the man noticed that he was being watched by neighbors, he put the girl in the back of the SUV and drove west on Conejo. Arriving deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

The suspect is described as weighing 200 pounds and a bald head and the girl was wearing pink shorts. Deputies would like to speak to the girl to check on her welfare. Anyone with information is asked to call 559-600-3111.
