Mom faces charges after her 1-year-old is found unresponsive in a Visalia motel room
A Tulare County woman is in jail after allegedly abusing her 1-year-old child at a motel, the Visalia Police Department said.
Authorities responded to a call on Friday of a child who was unresponsive and suffering from several severe injuries at a Motel 6 in Visalia.
The child was reported to be in critical condition Tuesday at an area hospital.
Police arrested the mother, 18-year-old Jasmine Blase. She was booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility. She will be arraigned on June 26.
The Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the ongoing investigation.
