Felon with ‘ghost gun’ arrested after Selma traffic stop, police say
Selma police arrested a man armed with a so-called “ghost gun” after a traffic stop.
Chief Joe Gomez said the arrest took place about 7 p.m. Sunday at Jasper and Hicks streets, where officers pulled over a 1998 Lexus to make a traffic stop, and discovered that passenger Brandon Castillo was sought on a Kings County no-bail warrant.
Officers discovered that Castillo was carrying an AR-15 rifle in a backpack. The weapon had no serial numbers, common to weapons manufactured and illegally sold in California. Castillo also was in possession of more than 70 rounds of ammunition, said Gomez.
Castillo was booked into Fresno County Jail.
