Armed bandits steal drugs from northeast Fresno pharmacy. Latest in a string?

Fresno police are investigating an armed robbery of a pharmacy in northeast Fresno that maybe be connected to similar cases in the central San Joaquin Valley.

Sgt. Eric Hodge said the Fresno robbery took place just after noon Monday at the Care Pharmacy, just east of Highway 41 on East Bullard Avenue.

The two men, at least one of them wielding a firearm, took narcotics and fled the business. No one was reported to have been injured.

Fresno Police spokesman Jeff La Blue on Tuesday said police are investigating similar robberies in Madera and Merced and possibly Hanford.

The suspects in the Fresno incident are believed to be driving a newer model white Chevrolet Malibu.

La Blue said police are very concerned due to the level of aggression the suspect showed in the Fresno robbery.
