Tip leads Madera County authorities to arrest of woman on child pornography charges

A Madera County woman faces allegations of child pornography after her arrest Thursday.
Kristine Mettler, 45, was taken into custody on suspicion of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Detectives and the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children task force served a search warrant at the woman’s home in the 700 block of Blue Oak Lane in Madera County, seeking possible images of child sexual abuse.
After a search of electronic devices, detectives arrested Mettler. Bail was set at $25,000 and she has been released.
A tip was received by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.
