Police are investigating a fatal shooting Friday evening in southwest Fresno after finding a man lying in the middle of an intersection with a gunshot wound.

According to Lt. Anthony Dewall, officers received a ShotSpotter notification just before 5 p.m. of 10 rounds fired in the area of Thorne and Valencia avenues. He was identified as Jacaree Fisher, 19.

Officers found the man bleeding in that intersection with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
