South Valley woman arrested at her home on charge of embezzlement totaling $100,000

A Visalia woman was arrested Wednesday for an alleged embezzlement, Visalia Police said in a news release.

Corina Ceballos, 40, an employee of a local attorney for several years was booked after detectives said she made several unauthorized purchases using her employer’s funds for personal purposes that totaled $100,000.

Ceballos was authorized to make office-related purchases using her employer’s funds. She allegedly made the unauthorized purchases from early 2017 to January 2020.

Detectives located Ceballos at her Visalia home and was arrested. She was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for felony embezzlement.

The investigation is ongoing.
