Fresno victim in critical condition after Friday night shooting

Few details are available about a late-night shooting Friday that left one man injured at a west-central Fresno apartment complex.

Officers were called to the Pleasant Village apartments in the 3600 block of North Pleasant Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting victim. When they arrived, they found a man, Adrian Parragan, with two gunshot wounds – one to his leg and the other to his abdomen.

Police reported that Parragan, whose age was not disclosed, was conscious and talking as emergency crews tended to his injuries.

Parragan was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he was reported to be in critical condition Saturday, according to hospital officials.
