Detectives want to talk to person of interest in Fresno homicide investigation

Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a person of interest in a homicide that happened late last year in southeast Fresno.

They want to talk to Jose Luis Godinez, who goes by the nickname “Bola.” He is believed to been at the home at the time of the killing.

Deputies received a 911 call shortly before 3 p.m. Dec. 29 about an injured man in a garage at 5215 E. Belmont Ave. Alphonso Markus Durazo, 48, was taken to to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died from gunshot wounds.

Speaking with Godinez could provide detectives with information critical to the murder investigation, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Godinez is from Sanger and frequents northwest Fresno and the area of West McKinley and North Marks avenues. in Fresno. He is 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He may have a mustache and goatee.
