Fresno police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect connected with a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead.

Officers found Sean Pittman lying on the ground outside his vehicle Saturday in a parking lot near Clinton and Weber avenues, police said Wednesday in a news release.

Pittman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died on Monday.

Homicide investigators later learned that Pittman had been involved in a verbal argument with another man in the parking lot, according to the news release. Investigators believe the man shot Pittman and fled in a light-colored sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fresno police homicide detectives Daniel Laband at 559-621-2448 or Eden Cerda at 559-621-2446 or Valley Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org. Tipsters to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
