Biker who had been sought by deputies in alleged Fresno strip club beating arrested

A biker who had been sought by deputies for allegedly beating up a bouncer at a Fresno strip club turned himself in to authorities at the Fresno County Jail on Monday.

Jesse Verdugo, 47 and a member of the Malos Hechos motorcycle gang, was booked on charges of his outstanding warrant, which was for assault causing great bodily injury, and bail was set at $90,000, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The 5-foot, 8-inch, 200-pound biker and some of his friends were asked to leave the City Lights night club in December. At the door, Verdugo is alleged to have beaten the man who escorted him outside, the sheriff’s office said.

Malos Hechos gang members have an extensive criminal history, involving contacts with Fresno law enforcement, including the beating of a man outside the now-closed Crossroads bar at Shields and Cedar avenues in 2014. The bar was later shut down because of the beating and an unrelated shooting.
