Sex offender near Clovis arrested for possessing child pornography

A register sex offender who had moved just outside Clovis was arrested on felony charges of failing to register his home address, as well as possession of child pornography.

Richard Manning, 57, of Stockton was arrested Wednesday after the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that he was living at a home on the 10700 block of East Herndon Avenue, east of Clovis city limits.

Manning’s records showed that he is a registered sex offender who is supposed to be staying in the Stockton area.

Detectives searched Manning’s electronic devices and found child pornography.

Investigators ask anyone with additional information about Manning or any illegal activity involving registered sex offenders to report by calling the Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111 or Valley Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
