Mariposa County man wanted for attempted murder is armed, dangerous, Sheriff’s Office says

The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man they consider armed and dangerous after he allegedly shot someone Friday.

Jeron Roberts, 41, was last seen in Greeley Hill, where he got into a physical fight with a man, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Roberts allegedly shot the man then fled the area in a dark blue 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The license plate is 7CDF496.

The victim was flown to a hospital and his condition was not released by the Sheriff’s Office.

Roberts is a parolee, has gang affiliations and suffers from mental illness, the Sheriff’s Office said. He has family in the Modesto area, but detectives are not sure where he may be headed.

Anyone who spots Roberts is asked to call 911 and not attempt to make contact with him.
