Madera police are investigating a shooting early Thursday evening.

Two people sustained non life-threatening gunshot injuries during the incident.

Police are calling the shooting an isolated incident that occurred in the Fresno River near Lake Street.

Detectives are investigating the incident and ask anyone if they have information to contact Madera police at 559-675-4220.
