Isaiah Moore, 19, was booked into Madera County Jail Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, following a crash that killed a young woman. Police accuse Moore of DUI and manslaughter.

A woman was killed Saturday night after a driver suspected to be under the influence crashed his car into a storage facility in Madera.

The crash also left a 21-year-old man severely injured at a Fresno hospital.

Madera Police Department Sgt. Nick Webster said the single-vehicle crash happened Saturday around 8:15 p.m. in the area of Knox Street and Almond Avenue.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Isaiah Moore, lost control of a black sedan and crashed into a business, Webster said.

Paramedics transported a male passenger to a Fresno hospital and the woman was taken to Madera Community Hospital, where she later died. The two were not identified.

Webster said Moore was arrested and booked into Madera County Jail. Moore is expected to be charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter, Webster added. His bail was set at $60,000.
