Police seek Chevy pickup in fatal southwest Fresno hit and run

Fresno police are searching for a Chevy pickup after a pedestrian was struck and killed early Thursday morning in southwest Fresno.

The pedestrian was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Jesse Lazalde, 25, of Fresno.

The collision took place just before 3 a.m. on southbound Golden State Boulevard just north of South Church Avenue, according to Lt. Bill Dooley.

A witness told officers the pickup was a four-door, silver Chevrolet Silverado with a motorcycle or ATV in the back. The driver slowed, but then sped from the scene.
