Fresno police Thursday were searching for a BMW sedan after shots were fired near downtown Fresno.

Lt. Tony Bustos said it appeared the violence broke out as part of a domestic violence incident shortly after 11 a.m.

The gunshots took place about a block from the Poverello House at F and Santa Clara streets.

The driver fled in an unknown direction. It appeared that a pry bar was also used as a weapon during the dispute.
