One man killed, another arrested in Fresno. Police say it may have been an accident

Police are investigating an apparent accidental shooting in southwest Fresno on Sunday morning that left a 20-year-old man dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed there was a gathering inside a home on the 1800 block of East Jensen Avenue before the man was shot, Fresno police said.

Officers found him around 3:21 a.m. and he was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he died.

Further investigation revealed the suspect in the shooting, identified as Savon Lollie, 21, admitted to the shooting. Officers determined that Lollie was involved in some type of gunplay when he fired a single round, killing the victim, police said.

The victim was identified Tuesday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Irie Tucker, 20, Fresno.

Lollie has been cooperative with investigators and has been booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of murder.
