He was shot inside his home. Detectives need help identifying the four suspects, truck

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify four suspects it believes were involved in an April 19 shooting at a home in southwest Fresno.

A 55-year-old man was shot inside his home on Lafayette Avenue shortly before 6 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office. The man was seriously injured, but survived thanks to a deputy who was able to apply a tourniquet.

After interviewing the victim and reviewing surveillance video, detectives are looking for four suspects – two men and two women –who were seen entering the home prior to the shooting. They were also seen leaving the scene in a lowered, light-colored Chevrolet or GMC crew cab truck with large custom rims.

While the motive for the shooting is still under investigation, detective believe it may have been prompted by an argument. They do not believe it to be a random shooting.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Sheriff’s Detective Gary Haslam at 559-600-8209 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867 or valleycrimestoppers.org.
