Inmate walks away from Atwater federal prison’s satellite camp, officials report
Authorities are searching for a missing inmate who apparently walked away from the satellite prison camp at United State Penitentiary, Atwater on Wednesday.
According to a news release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, 37-year-old Pablo Rene Bucio was discovered missing Wednesday at around 4:30 p.m.
Bucio is described as a Hispanic male with black hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He is 6’0” and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
According to the news release, Bucio was serving 262 months for drug trafficking and conspiracy to distribute and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, attempted manufacturing and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, controlled substance user in possession of a firearm, attempted possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm, maintaining a residence for the purposes of drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
