Man shot to death while riding a bicycle near his home in Fresno County, police say

A man was shot and killed Saturday night while riding a bicycle near his home in Selma, the police department reported.

Selma Police Chief Greg Garner said at around 10:15 p.m., officers were called to the 2800 block of C Street for a report of shots fired.

The victim, whose name was not released, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.

Garner said investigators found the victim’s bike nearby.

Garner said no witnesses were found. No arrests have been reported.

Police said they believe the victim may have been specifically targeted for the attack, but declined to elaborate Sunday.
