Fresno police hunting serial sniper after seven shot by pellet gun
Fresno police are searching for a white sedan, possibly a Toyota hybrid, after seven people where shot by a pellet gun at separate locations Monday afternoon in Fresno.
The victims, apparently random targets, were struck at East Clinton Avenue and North First Street, in the 3400 block of North First, in the 3300 block of East Dakota Avenue and at North Bullard Avenue and North First Street.
Lt. Mark Hudson said the shooter was wearing a gray hoodie and there were two or three other suspects in the vehicle.
The shooter was described as a black male adult who was firing from the passenger seat, Hudson said.
One of the victims was bleeding from the wound. Hudson said it appeared that all of the wounds were non-life threatening.
At least one of the victims, a woman hit at First and Bullard, was traumatized by the incident and said she thought at first the shooter had a firearm.
Hudson said that the shooter and those with him would face felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Police asked anyone with information to call 911.
