A man was arrested Sunday in central Fresno after killing one person and injuring three others in a knife attack, police said.

At around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the Parks at Fig Garden apartment complex on Fruit Avenue south of Ashlan Avenue regarding multiple stabbing victims. Officers found four victims of a stabbing; John Sandoval, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, police said in a statement.

Detectives said the stabbing occurred after a fight that started in an apartment. Officers identified Danny Duran, 19, as the suspect.

Duran was turned in to Fresno police by his family and was booked on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, authorities said.
