Gang member from Washington brought his gun for a visit, police say. Now, he’s arrested

A gang member from Washington state was arrested Wednesday night after he was found in possession of a handgun west of Highway 99, Fresno police reported.

He was identified as Louis Quintana. Officers from the MAGEC gang reported that Quintana, a reputed Norteño gang member, was a passenger in a car that was pulled over on Parkway Drive near Belmont Avenue.

Quintana reportedly admitted being in possession of the gun while in town to visit his girlfriend’s family. Quintana, recently released from prison in Washington, was booked into Fresno County Jail on multiple charges.
