Man leaves blood trail after stabbing in central Fresno
A man was stabbed multiple times at a homeless shelter located in central Fresno alley.
Shortly before 7 p.m., the Fresno Police Department received reports of a man walking down Shields Avenue and stabbed, Lt. Bill Dooley said.
Officers and paramedics found the victim at a liquor store near Palm and Shields avenue.
The victim, a male in his 40s, was not cooperative with officers and did not tell them where he was stabbed or how attacked him.
Officers, however, were able to track his blood trail to the location where the stabbing took place — a small homeless shelter in the alley near Shields and Wilson.
The victim was stabbed in the chest and is currently listed in stable condition at Community Regional Medical Center.
