Three arrested in Visalia counterfeit money operation

A Visalia woman is under arrest for passing counterfeit money, and two others were arrested after authorities found equipment used to make the bills, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.

Sunday, deputies were called to a swap meet on Highway 198 east of Visalia on reports of someone passing counterfeit currency to vendors. The deputies arrested Princess Garcia of Visalia.

Further investigation led to the discovery of a counterfeit operation in Visalia, the sheriff’s department said. Investigators found a large amount of counterfeit money and the equipment to make the bills.

Kenneth Choate and Kathryn Wagher of Pismo also were arrested.
