Mother wants return of stolen jacket honoring fallen Marine
A jacket in honor of Visalia resident and fallen Marine Jared Verbeek was stolen Monday, and his mother is asking Valley residents for its return.
A $2,000 award, sponsored by area residents and the Pipkin Detective Agency, will be rewarded to anyone able to return the jacket, which was stolen from Rosalie Verbeek’s vehicle on Memorial Day.
The Gold Star Jacket is worn by mothers of fallen soldiers, and Verbeek is asking for its immediate return.
The jacket can be returned to 4318 W. Mineral King Ave. in Visalia. Anyone with information can call (559) 662-8889 or toll free at 877-730-3532.
